Drift Tools

Upside Energy Services drift tools are designed to clean out the inside diameter of the drill pipe and collars of mud cake or dried cement before you make your connection. These tools are simple to use and we make them to any size upon request.

The drift tool is placed inside the top connection then the pickup sub is connected. When the pipe/collar is lifted, the drift tool slides down the inside and knocks out any obstructions.
